Meet Dr. Kristin Wodka

My name is Dr. Kristin Wodka. I’ve loved the medical field for most of my life. I have experienced my own health journey since birth, and I fell in love with Chiropractic care when I was about 15 years old. My Chiropractor changed my world with adjustments and Acupuncture therapy, and I’ve been dedicated to giving this back to my patients since then.

Knowing that I wanted to become a Chiropractor, I decided to first attend Olivet Nazarene University in Illinois for Psychology. I was interested in learning about the mind/body connection because mental health strongly impacts the body, and the body strongly impacts our minds! During my Undergraduate career, I was fascinated with anatomy and biology. So much so, I became a Teacher’s Assistant (T.A.) because I enjoyed teaching anatomy just as much as I enjoyed learning it.

Upon graduation from Olivet, I decided to enroll in the study of Therapeutic Massage at the National University of Health Science’s Associates of Applied Science. It was important to me to learn how to best work with muscles and soft tissue before learning how to work with the bones and joints in Chiropractic school. This has proved to be instrumental to my education in Chiropractic Medicine, and how I treat as a doctor. Through that amazing program, I found that treating the soft tissue in addition to the joints makes a remarkable difference in patient progress and quality of life! This addition to treatment is a way I can provide unique care to my patients who may have found minimal to no progress with other providers.

My deep passion for health and sciences continued to carry over into Chiropractic school at the National University of Health Sciences Doctor of Chiropractic program, where I worked as the tutor for the Massage Therapy program and as a T.A. for both adjusting and anatomy labs.

I enjoy spending time with my two cats, Nova and Sylvie, and my partner Matthew! Recently, we decided to move from the Windy City to Denver so we could enjoy the mountains, and the lush outdoors, and live a happier and healthier lifestyle. I am so excited to be joining the Schwabe Chiropractic team because I know they encourage their patients to do the same!
